Delete your account and data

Mizan needs no account for normal use; your financial data stays on your device. A cloud sharing account (anonymous, or linked to Google/Apple if you choose) is created only when you use shared wallets. This page explains how to delete it and what gets deleted.

Delete the sharing account in the app

1. Open Settings (gear button at the top).
2. Under “Wallets & plan” tap “Delete sharing account”.
3. Confirm with “Delete”. The account is deleted immediately.

If you see “Could not delete now”, re-link the account from the “Link account” row and try again - the identity provider requires a recent sign-in before deletion.

Delete your local data

Settings → Data → “Erase all data” removes all transactions, budgets, assets, goals and settings from the device and from your own iCloud (on iPhone).

What is deleted and what remains

• Deleted immediately: the authentication account (user ID, and email if linked) and your membership in every shared wallet.
• Remains: entries you added to shared wallets stay visible to the other members, attributed to a deleted member (no name or email), because removing them would break the other members’ balances. You can delete your entries manually before deleting the account.
• Retention: we keep no extra copies; provider backups (Google Firebase) are purged within 30 days at most.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the device, email mizanappsa@gmail.com from the linked address (or mention the shared wallet name and invite code for an anonymous account). We delete within 7 days and confirm by email.
